Below you will see our student facilitators and a brief description of each breakout session.
Finding your Style There are many different types of leaders and identifying your work style is a great way to find out what your strengths and weaknesses are. Similar to the Myers-Briggs, this activity identifies what work preferences you have as a leader and provides useful tips on how to work with others harmoniously. So come join us, and we can help you find your style. Action Planning
Me to We encourages youth to take on projects that will help change the world. There are two things that are key to creating change: a passion and an issue. Each person can make their own personalized action plan by using their passions to do something about an issue they care about. A passion can be anything, such as public speaking, playing sports, painting, volunteering, etc. An issue can range from helping people in the community to solving energy problems for the country. With these simple steps and a little hard work, anything is possible. We will guide everyone to create their own action plans, and set them on the right track to making change. |
Values and Strengths
A crucial step towards making an impact on others is understanding yourself. Learning your values leads to a greater understanding of what is important to you. As such, we here behind Youth in leadership believe that learning your strengths and values is an important step in making change. You are guaranteed to leave the session with a greater understanding of who you are as a leader. |
